Rebarreling
Double H Gunsmithing offers rebarreling and related barrel work for rifles and other firearms. Customers come to us to replace a worn barrel, change chambering, or build on a receiver they already own. The right approach depends on the firearm, the barrel blank or take-off barrel, the intended cartridge, and how the gun will be used. Please contact us to discuss your project, timeline, and pricing before work begins.
Typical rebarreling work may include fitting a new barrel, chambering and headspacing to the chosen cartridge, crowning, and checking that the finished assembly is safe and serviceable. Exact steps vary by project. We will confirm what is needed after we review the firearm and your goals.

Suppressor threading
We can thread muzzles for common suppressor mounts when the barrel and profile allow. Thread pitch and shoulder setup must match the host firearm and the suppressor or mount you intend to use. When possible, bring the suppressor or clear mount specifications so we can verify fit before machining. Suppressor ownership and use remain the customer’s responsibility under federal and state NFA rules. Our role is the machining required for a proper thread job.
Custom muzzle brakes
We also install and fit custom muzzle brakes, including threading and timing a brake to the barrel when the design requires it. Brake choice affects recoil, muzzle rise, and blast to the sides. We can help you select a practical option for hunting, competition, or general shooting, then machine and install it cleanly.
Getting started
Please tell us the firearm make, model, and caliber, what you want done, and any required chambering or thread specifications. We will check the work against our reamer list and tooling, then provide turnaround and cost information before work begins. Call or text 336-694-5739.
